Sugarloaf
One of the finest eating mangos. It's juicy pale flesh can taste like a sweet Hawaiian Sugarloaf pineapple or can taste like sweet coconut.
Field notes:
Unfortunately, this tree flowers profusely but has had trouble consistently setting fruit. Also, this mango is a challenge to pick and if allowed to ripen on the tree will not reach it's flavor and texture potential. If the mango gives off a pineapple-like smell or changes to a lighter shade of green, pick it.
