Carrie
An Indian mango disguised as a Florida classic. It has a strong following because of its rich sweetness and spicy aftertaste. Extremely soft and fiber-free flesh. We love to cut the sides off and eat it with a spoon!
Personal Notes:
Our oldest tree on the property at 30+ years old.
It often gets a bad rap for two reasons:
1. The mango has a very short window of being perfectly ripe and if eaten overripe, gets a strong fermented taste with an extremely mushy texture.
The spicy aftertaste has a piney-resinous flavor that some people object to, but we love it!
