Welcome to Luro Grove

One of my earliest memories of growing up in Miami is hunting for fallen Haden mangos in my grandparents' backyard. Those trees were the last remnants of an old grove, standing tall long after the surrounding land had been transformed into suburban neighborhoods.

While those childhood summers left a lasting impression, my true obsession began in 2002. That was the year I tasted my first Carrie mango. It was a revelation—I realized there was an entire world of complex flavors beyond what I had known. I’ve been obsessed ever since, chasing that perfect tropical profile. What began as a backyard passion soon grew into a small orchard dedicated to collecting and cultivating rare mango cultivars we truly love.

This passion has now passed to my children, who have grown up with the same excitement for the harvest that I had in my grandparents' yard. In our home, mangos are more than just a snack; while we love eating them fresh off the tree, we’ve also turned our harvest into a year-round craft. We dehydrate the slices for healthy treats and experiment with everything from savory dishes to decadent desserts.

Luro Grove is located in Miami-Dade County’s tropical Zone 11a, one of the few places in the United States where mango and other tropical fruit trees thrive naturally. Many of the mango varieties we grow are rarely available in the United States outside of tropical regions like South Florida.

Today, we share the fruits of that passion by offering fresh, seasonal mangoes and tropical fruits—harvested from our grove and delivered directly to your door.
